There are 4,000 cases of the 2017 Ventoux Persia Blanc, a Roussanne-based wine that spent a year in foudre. Honey and pineapple notes mark the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is crisp and tight at this stage, suggesting at least a few years of ageability. Subtle hints of cinnamon and clove appear on the long, zesty finish.

The 2017 Ventoux Persia Blanc is the old vine Roussanne cuvée, and Sebastian only makes a single foudre each year. This wine comes from a single parcel of slightly steeper slopes and more fine limestone soils and is brought up in a new foudre. There's a hint of Beaucastel Blanc in its gorgeous white fruits, white peach, flowers, tangerine, and mineral aromas, and it hits the palate with medium body, bright acidity, awesome purity, and a clean, elegant finish. It's a gorgeous wine. Enough can’t be said of the quality coming from Sebastien Vincenti’s and Nanou Barthelemy’s estate in the Ventoux, which is located on a limestone plateau on the eastern side of the region. These are deep, rich, concentrated wines that offer loads of personality.
