Score 95-97/100 · Drink 2018-2030, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017

A prodigious effort, the 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Lieu Dit Pignan is big and expansive yet seemingly weightless. All Grenache, 100% destemmed and aged in concrete, this mouth-filling wine doesn't show any heat at all, despite what must be substantial alcohol. Lush berries and cherries linger on the long, silky finish. Color me impressed!
