30% whole-bunch fermentation. Candied red berries with some black cherry and piquant spice. Finely rubbed tannin with enough acid and fruit to give perfect balance. (RH)

The 2016 Art of Pinot Noir was aged for 12 months in 50% new and 50% second-fill barrels. It has an attractive bouquet of brambly red berry fruit, raspberry and pressed flowers. There is certainly good intensity here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, and quite firm for this label, delivering solid grip on the finish. Give it a couple of years in bottle.
