Score 96/100 · Drink 2026-2050, Joaquin Hidalgo, Vinous, Apr 2026

Fully evolved yet energetic, the 2005 Gran Reserva Viña Bosconia (80% Tempranillo with Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo) offers underbrush, sandalwood, chestnut and dried fruit on the nose. Intense but refined on the palate, it shows firm yet polished tannins, with oak adding subtle grip over a chalky structure. A beautiful expression of the vintage, it remains vibrant.
