Tasting notes
The 2014 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot, which comes from two parcels, has a complex and engaging bouquet with resinous aromas filtering through the citrus lemon and peach scents. There is a lovely definition here. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a keen thread of acidity, well integrated oak and a tempting roundness. With impressive weight on the finish and a mischievous dab of ginger, this is a very well crafted Chassagne that should give much pleasure over the next decade.
