2016 Corton Renardes

Wonderful on the nose, complex and intense, belying the delicate look in the glass. Morello cherry, wild strawberry leading to waves of gamey, slightly savoury notes that couldn’t come from anywhere else in the world other than Burgundy. On the palate the weight is perfect with pure and very intense fruit countered by mineral notes, fresh acidity and powerful tannins.
