About the producer
The operation is a collaboration, working with the support of Johan Björklund, an ex-wine merchant who today runs the boutique and hugely respected Hôtel de Beaune.
In the winery
Wines are made in minuscule volumes – with only one, two, or maybe four barrels in some cases, so they tend to remain under-the-radar, un-scored and largely unseen. Charles does not make the wines but sources and selects finished wines and releases them under his own label.
