Tasting notes
Expressive nose with ripe mango, peaches, touches of honey, white blossom and a smoky element. The palate is rich and layered, with vibrant acidity and a creamy mouthfeel. Incredibly long finish with a mineral note. Aug 2017, FINE+RARE

The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Anonyme Blanc features smoky, campfire-like aromatics and bitter, charred flavors. This isn't the first Xavier Vignon white wine I've struggled with, so I'm not inclined to ascribe it to a flawed bottle. I find the red wines much more consistent. Oct 2017, www.robertparker.com
