Tasting notes
Based on the 2008 vintage and disgorged in November 2016 with 1.5 grams per liter dosage, the NV Extra Brut Cuvée No. 736 Dégorgement Tardif wafts from the glass with aromas of toasted bread, warm biscuits, green orchard fruit, iodine and beeswax. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, racy and incisive, with a nicely layered core, but it's bright spine of acidity isn't quite as integrated as the corresponding Dégorgement Tardif of Jacquesson's 737.

Based on 2008. 88 months on lees. Disgorged November 2016. Dosage 1.5 g/l. Nutty nose and nicely composed. Very fresh. Definitely a 2008 but with a very characteristic Jacquesson overlay. (JR)
47% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir, 20% Meunier. Base harvest 2008, 72% plus 28% reserves. Terroirs: Avize , Oiry, Aÿ, Dizy, Hautvillers, Mareuil- sur-Aÿ. Made in oak foudres. Malo done. Dosage 1.5 g/l. Dancing and deep. Almost sour on the end it’s so dry. (JR)
The base of 736 is vintage 2008 and it has stayed a course of power with elegance. Aromas of lemon citrus, oyster shell, dried lemon and biscuity spices lead to a palate with contained, powerful citrus and pastry flavors. Dry and long. Drink now.
