Score 89/100 · Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate
Like all the wines here, this entry-level wine is produced with Tinta de Toro (aka Tempranillo) grapes. The 2015 Romanico is produced with grapes from younger vines and aged in second use oak barriques for six months. This is always the most drinkable of the portfolio, even in this warmer, riper vintage. It's naturally powerful, with some grainy tannins and a slight bitterness in the finish. The "light" red from the Eguren brothers in Toro still requires powerful food. 150,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2017. Aug 2018, www.robertparker.com
