Deep brilliant crimson. An expansively perfumed, expressive bouquet evokes ripe cherry and raspberry, incense, lavender and Moroccan spices, and a smoky mineral flourish adds urgency and lift. Shows impressive depth as well as energy in the mouth, offering alluringly sweet red fruit liqueur, floral pastille, succulent herb and spicecake flavors supported by a spine of juicy acidity. In a suave, distinctly graceful style for its heft, showing outstanding delineation and a sexy floral nuance on the strikingly long, penetrating finish, which features deftly interwoven tannins and resonating mineral and red fruit qualities.

The 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Omni is 80% Grenache and 10% each of Syrah and Mourvèdre. It was fermented with 100% stems, followed by two years in barrel, where it was never racked. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it offers a translucent ruby color to go with terrific notes of black cherries, garrigue, peppery, and scorched earth. Perfumed, floral, elegant and lively on the palate, with a notable sense of freshness, it’s an outstanding Châteauneuf du Pape to drink over the coming 10-15 years.

Youthful violet. A complex, expansive bouquet evokes ripe red and blue fruits, cola and Moroccan spices, and a suave floral nuance emerges with aeration. Fleshy and concentrated yet light on its feet, offering appealingly sweet raspberry, boysenberry and spicecake flavors that turn sweeter on the back half. A spine of smoky minerality adds lift and structure and energizes the extremely long, focused finish, which features slow-building tannins and a resonating floral note.
