2002 Lanson Noble Cuvee Blanc de Blancs

Disgorged June 2016. Dosage 6 g/l. Light nose and lots of both apparent sweetness and acidity. Not yet married but certainly ambitious. A tad astringent on the finish. A little simple but perhaps it will take on more interest. Tense but promising. Very lacy and fine with real breadth of exotic flavour. (JR)

Disgorged June 2015. RS 6 g/l. Supplied by Lanson UK. Tasted blind. Great energy. Real interest on the nose and pretty high acid still on the palate (which should have led me to Lanson). A little astringent on the end. Slightly loose textured. And not that long. But it improved in the glass. According to The Finest Bubble’s scorekeeper, I gave this wine 18 but I was too busy to keep a record of it on my laptop. (JR)

Lanson's 2002 Noble Cuvée Blanc des Blancs Millésime Brut is 100% Chardonnay from Grand Cru villages. It is a rich, ripe and round Blanc de Blancs that combines its smooth opulence with freshness, elegance, finesse and purity. Excellent and still on its way.
