Tasting notes
I loved the 2015 Rasteau Cuvée Prestige. This is an outstanding, medium-bodied to full-bodied, balanced Rasteau offering lots of baked cherries, earth, garrigue and chocolate aromas and flavors. Made from 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre, brought up in foudre and concrete tank, enjoy it any time over the coming 7-8 years.

The 2015 Rasteau Prestige is yet another bottling from this domaine that punches above its weight. Aged half in foudre and half in concrete, it shows off attractive scents of garrigue and anise, then rounds out the full-bodied palate with black cherry fruit and a long, richly textured finish.
70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre. Fermented in stainless-steel tronconic tanks. 50% aged in 40-hl foudre, 50% in concrete tanks. Tank sample. Tasted blind. Blackish crimson. Black-cherry ripeness. Very soft and velvety. Super-flattering. Just slightly lacks undertow. (JR)
Dark robe. The nose is close-knit, with a concentration of plums, spice and dried herbs, some beef stock. The palate attacks on a free course of black fruits with attendant tannins swiftly on the scene. It is rugged for now, but has the muscle and also freshness via menthol that will give a good glass in the future. It stands up well, with authority. 14.5°. 15,000 b. 70% Gren, 20% Syr, 10% Mourv.
