Score 90-93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jun 2016

(Morey picked these vines on the first day of his harvest, already with a bit of surmaturité ; 12.5% potential alcohol chaptalized to 13%): Pale, bright yellow. Slightly high-toned aromas of lemon cream and pear. Tactile and concentrated on the palate, showing lovely inner-mouth energy but also serious richness and ripeness to its lemon and stone flavors. A step up in fruit intensity from the Embrazeés. Finishes saline, harmonious and long. Morey has parcels in the lieux-dits Les Fairendes, Les Petits Clos and Les Brussonnes.
