Tasting Notes
A spicy and pretty nose combines notes of plum, violet and earth nuances. There is impressive richness to the once again suave and seductively textured flavors that coat the palate with dry extract while delivering fine length on the vibrant and well-balanced finale. This is a lovely MSD villages and worth a look. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com

The 2015 Morey Saint Denis les Tres Girard suffered some grillure on the "younger vines" (45 years old), although Cecile did not know why particularly in this location. It contains around 30% whole bunch fruit and offers a well-defined blueberry and raspberry-scented bouquet, a touch of incense developing with aeration. The palate has good backbone and comes across as quite structured for a village cru, though that is what you expect from any self-respecting Morey-Saint-Denis. I appreciate the confit-tinged finish that just needs to develop a little more persistence on the aftertaste to match the excellent 2014 from last year. Dec 2016, www.robertparker.com
