Tasting notes
The 2015 Vosne-Romanée Village from Emmanuel Rouget is a young classic, wafting from the glass with a decadent bouquet of creamy raspberry, black chocolate, smoked duck and spice. On the palate, the wine is supple, full-bodied and framed by fine but firm tannins. Ripe but succulent, this is pure pleasure.

(from 1.5 ha of vines situated in Aux Saules, La Vigneux, Les Barreaux, Ravioles and Les Jacquines). A strikingly fresh and overtly spicy nose speaks of fresh, cool and layered notes of cassis, plum, sandalwood and Asian-style tea. The sleek, indeed silky middle weight flavors possess a highly refined mouth feel as well as a subtle minerality that carries over to the vibrant and beautifully complex finale that delivers unusually good persistence for its level. This excellent effort is very Vosne in basic character and highly recommended. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
