(these vines were picked very early): Bright red. Wonderfully aromatic nose combines rose petal, spices, licorice and bitter chocolate. Pliant, sweet flavors of red fruits, spices and flowers spread out to saturate the palate. Lovely clarity and length here--clearly the better for the early harvest.

A somber nose displays reserved notes of black fruit, plum and violet aromas along with a touch of earth that can also be found on the delicious, seductive and succulent flavors that possess excellent mid-palate density though there is a touch of dryness to the linear and dusty finish. Here again the supporting tannins appear to be ripe and thus my predicted range offers the benefit of the doubt. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
