The 2015 Beaune 1er Cru les Aigrots is matured in 20% new oak and Frederic Lafarge told me that it was reduced to just 15 hectoliters per hectare in this vintage due to the "trauma" in 2014. It has an attractive nose, quite floral with rose petals infusing the red cherry and strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, clean and pure, stiffening up a little towards the finish that has good depth, yet will need 3-4 years in bottle to fully soften.
