Tasting notes
Vibrant in the glass. Almonds, nuts and a touch of marshmallow on the nose. On the palate there is an incredible laser-like acidity. Focused and with an incredible purity of fruit, this is all about finesse and poise. The finish goes on for minutes and hints at remarkable things to come. Stunning.

The 2014 Cloudburst Chardonnay possesses lovely ginger-laced pears, allspice and apricot notes with a savory meat, toast and hazelnut undercurrent. The tightly-wound, medium-bodied palate is both elegant and intense, with an almost grainy texture and alluring minerality coming through on the very long finish.
Bright straw-green; either Cloudburst has managed to secure some top-flight grapes and/or had the wines made very skilfully; either way, both this and its Cabernet Sauvignon have great purity and tightly controlled winemaking at every point along the way. White flowers, grapefruit and high tensile acidity are the keys to this wine. Mar 2016, www.winecompanion.com.au, Drink: 2016-2026
Medium to light yellow hue and a very complex, hazelnutty, almond-like and nougat-tinged bouquet, very layered and rounded. The palate is firm and very dry, with piercing flavour and good concentration, lingering long on the finish. Superb and definite intensity and impact. Excellent and will age well.
