Tasting Notes
Bigger and fuller than the 2013. Bursts from the glass again with classic Bordeaux character. Rich and voluptuous on the palate with huge depth and complexity giving way to a delicious slightly savoury, meaty finish with perfectly judged acidity and outstanding length.

Ritzy packaging to one side, an outstanding feature of this wine is its exceptionally supple mouthfeel. Having said that, the purity of the varietal expression lays convincing claim to being more striking than the mouthfeel. Then there is the perfection of the balance. It goes on and on.
The 2012 Cloudburst Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple colored with a lovely, profound creme de cassis, blackberry preserves and mulberry-scented nose plus suggestions of mincemeat, soil and cedar. The medium-bodied, elegantly fruited palate is tight-knit and very fresh with a long, mineral-laced finish. Mar 2016, www.robertparker.com
An amazingly intense colour, deep purple, and the Malbec component is evident in the aroma which is full of floral, star anise and violet notes. Lively acidity as well as freshness, vitality and energy. It’s still slightly raw and very primary, plum juicy almost, and the oak is still not obvious despite its extreme youth. A baby. Very promising. (1,900 bottles produced; 7% Malbec). Feb 2014, www.huonhooke.com, Drink 2016-2037
