Tasting notes
Bigger and fuller than the 2013. Bursts from the glass again with classic Bordeaux character. Rich and voluptuous on the palate with huge depth and complexity giving way to a delicious slightly savoury, meaty finish with perfectly judged acidity and outstanding length.

2,100 bottles made. Very pure, intense nose. The palate is a little less intense but there are still lots of round, fine tannins and this wine should have a few more years of pleasure to give. (JR)
Ritzy packaging to one side, an outstanding feature of this wine is its exceptionally supple mouthfeel. Having said that, the purity of the varietal expression lays convincing claim to being more striking than the mouthfeel. Then there is the perfection of the balance. It goes on and on.
The 2012 Cloudburst Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple colored with a lovely, profound crème de cassis, blackberry preserves and mulberry-scented nose plus suggestions of mincemeat, soil and cedar. The medium-bodied, elegantly fruited palate is tight-knit and very fresh with a long, mineral-laced finish.
