Tasting Notes
The 2015 Clarisse is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, of which one-third is matured in new oak. There is plenty of sultry black cherry and mulberry fruit on the nose that gains intensity in the glass and neatly embraces the wood. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannin, a little spice and ginger on the entry, followed by grainy-textured red and black fruit with touches of Moroccan spice lining the finish.

Very intense with salt, pepper and stone. Plenty of ripe fruit. Full body, powerful. Fantastic. Apr 2016, www.jamessuckling.com
A Stéphane Derenoncourt wine. Round and rich and subtle. Very lively. Better than many a St-Émilion. Apr 2016, www.JancisRobinson.com, Drink: 2023-2032
The 2015 Clarisse is silky, sumptuous and wonderfully expressive. Dark red cherry, raspberry, spice, menthol and rose petal are all pushed forward in this succulent, mid-weight wine. Sweet floral notes add lift on the expressive, inviting finish. Tasted two times. Stéphane Derenoncourt and Romain Bocchio are the consulting winemakers. Apr 2016, www.Vinous.com
