Full-bodied and packed to the gills with complex mineral, earth and black fruit layers, it has a rock-solid structure of firm, ripe, fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long with a provocative spiciness coming through.

Another blockbuster, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is certainly up with the crème de la crème from the region. From an incredible vineyard just outside the town of St. Helena that was replanted in 1998, and made entirely from clone 337 aged in 90% new French oak, it offers a sensational bouquet of blackcurrants, tobacco leaf, damp earth, and chocolate that develops beautifully with time in the glass. It's a rich, powerful wine that never seems over the top and has perfect balance, polished tannin, and a great, great finish.
