Tasting notes
Nose of red fruit and savoury spice. Fresh acidity opens the palate with cherry flavour and a raspberry centre. Fresh and lively.Dec 2015

(25% new oak; vinified with 80% whole clusters, vs. only about 10% for the village wines; this was the last 2014 to be bottled, at the end of April of 2016): Moderately saturated palish red. Aromas of candied red berries and spicy oak smell a bit shallow. Nicely intense and brisk if a bit lean, with slightly sharp acidity keeping the essentially soft red fruit flavors a bit tight today. A fresh wine with a spicy, firmly tannic finish.
Hint of coffee but lots of lively fresh fruit. A bit dry on the end but serious intentions. Good stuff. Morey raciness in abundance. Long. (JR)
