Smells of almond paste. Pretty lean and tight. And then definitely astringent on the finish. A bit lacking in fruit on the end. (JR)

The 2014 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru les Chenevottes has a clean and precise bouquet, very intense with apricot and orange blossom that instantly seduces. The palate is crisp and taut, fine salinity here with edgy citrus fruit segueing into almond and blood orange on the tender finish. This is very fine, articulating its terroir with a touch more detail than others at the moment.
