Tasting notes
(25% vendange entier ): Good medium red. Complex, laid-back scents of strawberry, mocha, brown spices and underbrush; soil-driven but not yet expressive. Classic Morey-Saint-Denis flavors of savory red berries and spices convey good inner-mouth tension. Finishes subtle and long, with lingering spice character. This has turned out nicely.

Light bright crimson. Pale rim. Light nose. Charming fruity palate with energy and grainy but not aggressively tannic texture. Lots of vivacity and grip. GV (JR)
The 2014 Morey-Saint-Denis En la Rue de Vergy, which includes 30% whole cluster and 30% new oak, has a strict, sous-bois-infused nose with dessicated orange peel scents that surface with continued aeration. The palate is lively and crisp with a keen line of acidity, more citric than the Chambolle Vieilles Vignes with plenty of vibrant red cherry and kirsch notes on the playful finish.
