Tasting notes
Quite a bit of age on the nose and with great integrity. I swallowed this. Great elegance and – I was going to write integrity again. Transparent but far from light. Really energetic. GV (JR)

Disgorged Apr 2014. All Pinot Noir. Interesting putty nose. Layers and admirable. Interesting and very long. (JR)
Light yellow-gold. Leesy pear, melon and peach aromas are complicated by suggestions of baking spices, yellow rose and anise. Rich and supple on the palate, offering powerful orchard and pit fruit flavors and intense spiciness. Gains weight on the long, smoky finish but maintains energy and focus thanks to a core of zesty minerality. Disgorged in February, 2014.
Philipponnat's 2008 Blanc de Noirs is fabulous. Dried apricot, cherry, flowers, almonds and spices grace the palate as this weightless yet expressive Champagne opens up in the glass. Pliant and distinctly red-toned in its flavor profile, the 2008 impresses for its sensual personality and impeccable overall balance. The 2008 is made entirely from 1er and Grand Cru fruit, and was disgorged in April 2014
