The 2014 Clos Manou, located in Saint Christoly-du-Medoc, was a little standoffish on the nose when I tasted it. However, it is certainly well defined with cedar and tobacco tinged black fruit; sous-bois and Earl Grey emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, fine symmetry, a touch of spice with impressive precision and focus on the sustained finish. This is a superb Medoc that will give a decade, possibly more, of drinking pleasure. Mar 2017, www.robertparker.com

Clos Manou
Clos Manou is one of Bordeaux’s most under-rated addresses. The tiny estate is in the northern reaches of the Médoc, but produces wine that puts some Classed Growths to shame.
