Tasting notes
Falmet's 2009 Le Val Cornet is stellar. Honey, mint, spice, apricot and pear notes are all laced together in an ample, super-expressive Champagne built on texture. Powerful and resonant to the core, the 2009 impresses for its breadth, persistence and exceptional polish. This is the finest wine I have tasted from Nathalie Falmet. The Val Cornet is a blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from vineyards from the Rouvres-les Vignes lieu-dit. Disgorged May 2012, non-dosé.
