Tasting notes
Vivid ruby. Deep-pitched red and blue fruit scents are complicated by hints of pungent flowers, peppery spices and cola. Broad and fleshy on the palate, offering sweet boysenberry and black raspberry flavors and a touch of white pepper that adds back-end spiciness. Tightens up slowly on the gently tannic finish, which clings with outstanding persistence and resonating spiciness.

A great wine - from a difficult vintage - that shows the talent and hard work of this brother/sister pair, the 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape reveals a healthy ruby/purple color to go with perfumed notes of black and red raspberry, pepper, licorice and violets. Medium plus in body and elegant, with gorgeous purity and fine tannin, drink this terrific 2013 over the coming 8-10 years.
Saturated ruby. An expansive bouquet evokes dark berry preserves, incense, Indian spices and licorice, with a subtle earthy accent in the background. Fleshy but lively and precise, offering supple black raspberry and cherry-cola flavors lifted by zesty minerality. Fine-grained tannins give grip to the finish, which repeats the spice and cola notes.
