Very pale green-tinged color. Subtle aromas of citrus fruits and tart rhubarb. Pliant and sweet but not heavy, finishing with good texture and length. Nicely mineral but a bit unforthcoming in the mid-palate today, this premier cru will go white-truffley with five or six years in the cellar.

The 2013 Chablis 1er Cru Les Lys has a light, floral bouquet with touches of dandelion and granite, a little tight at the moment but nicely defined. The palate is crisp and fresh with plenty of green apple and fresh pear notes, although it is just missing some weight on the finish. Drink over the next 4 to 5 years.

The 2013 Chablis Les Lys is super-expressive. Bright citrus, grapefruit, lime, slate and rosemary all jump from the glass in a focused, pedigreed Chablis full of potential. This is an impressive Les Lys. Yields in this sheltered, north-east facing site were just 18 hectoliters per hectare.

Pale yellow-green. Aromas of citrus peel and powdered stone. Precise and taut in the mouth; less large than the Vaillons but there's plenty of ripeness and concentration here, with the flavors of peach and lime blossom echoing on the aftertaste. Perhaps not as bracing as the 2012 version at the same stage but this boasts excellent potential.
