Score 93/100 · Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate

Exclusively from the first pressing of outstanding Chardonnay Grand Crus from the Côte de Blancs, the 2004 Blanc de Blancs Brut with a painting of the Chinese artist Chen Jiang Hong on the label is a stunningly pure, fresh, precise and elegant Champagne of great finesse and complexity. Virtually an Extra Brut, the wine, after 9 years on the lees, opens with a fresh, firmly mineral and chalky scented citrus and whole grain flavor leading to a substantial and intense, yet buoyant, razor sharp and tension-laden palate with great length and complexity. Still young and tight but perfect to drink now, it should age for several years and could gain further complexity and elegance. Disgorgement: April 2013, dosage: 5 g/l. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2022 eRobertParker.com.November, 2014
