Tasting Notes
With only 3,132 numbered bottles of the 2007 Vieilles Vignes Francaises vintage ever produced, we are delighted to offer this incredibly rare and highly-anticipated release. Vieilles Vignes Francaises is made only in exceptional vintages and derived exclusively from two tiny walled vineyards, Chaudes Terres and Clos St Jacques, opposite the Bollinger winery in Aÿ. A symbol of a bygone era, it is still traditionally grown on original rootstocks in the ‘provignage’ method of layering and worked entirely by hand - escaping the plight of phylloxera for the last 100 years which devastated so much of the region. As with every release of Bollinger's flagship cuvee, we will see huge demand and consequently the quantity available will be on allocation.
About the producer

Bollinger is one of the most renowned and coveted Champagne Houses in the world, famous for its Pinot-Noir-dominant wines, in particular La Grande Année and the rare Vieilles Vignes Françaises (from pre-phylloxera vines).
