Tasting notes
The NV Champagne Cordon Beu Blanc De Noirs Brut is made from 80% Pinot Noir and the rest Meunier. The base is 2020, it was disgorged in December 2023, and it has 5.5 grams per liter dosage. The mousse adheres to the glass upon pouring, but I quite like the base wine, which offers notes of black cherries, blackberries, violet, and chalky earth. Medium to full-bodied, it exhibits good purity and freshness in a clean and structured manner. It’s an impressive and fresh drink to enjoy over the next 5-8 years.

Aromas of cantaloupe, ripe apples and citrus are very attractive, coming through clearly on the palate with medium body, lovely fruit and a creamy finish. Lemons and limes at the end. Base wine 2021. Drink now.
The NV Cordon Bleu Brut Tradition from de Venoge is a perfect Champagne for an aperitif. Delivering subtle aromas of lemon oil, lemon, apple and pear, it's moderately weighted and balanced, with a modest persistence on the finish. Disgorged with a dosage six grams per liter, this is a blend of 34% Pinot Noir, 33% Pinot Meunier and 33% Chardonnay.
Dosage 6.5 g/l. Disgorged 2023. Simple, classic style with green-apple fruit and light yeastiness. Good standard champagne style with a bit of salinity on the finish. (RH)
