The 2011 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot is one of the most vivid, complex and nuanced wines in Thomas Morey's range. At once deep and fully expressive of Morgeot, the 2011 also has a weightless translucence that is particularly appealing. Sweet honey and butter notes are just starting to develop in a Morgeot that should drink well for at least a handful of years. Floral notes reappear on the finish, adding a gorgeous sense of lift.

(an assemblage of Les Fairendes and Petit Clos): Bright pale yellow. Slightly exotic but fresh aromas of pear, yellow peach, spices and white truffle. Rich, sweet and nicely delineated; not a powerful wine but suggests better ripeness and inner-mouth tension than the foregoing premier crus. Finishes with good spicy persistence.
