Tasting notes
The most recent vintage of this wine presented, the Syrah dominated 2005 Languedoc Clos de Cistes, which incorporates a small percentage of Grenache, offers brilliant aromas and flavors of currants, cassis, ground herbs, bloody meat and exotic spices. Perfumed, complex and layered, with medium to full-bodied richness, this is one serious Languedoc that will have upwards of two decades of overall longevity. It’s hard to find in the market, but if you can find some, don’t hesitate to buy.
