Tasting notes
Light yellow. Ripe orchard fruits, honey, chamomile and minerals on the deeply pitched nose. Stains the palate with intense pear nectar and honeysuckle flavors that expand with aeration. Quite a bit deeper than the '07 bottling, finishing with powerful thrust and cling and lingering smokiness. Disgorged in May, 2014

Geoffroy's 2008 Brut Empreinte is quite a bit brighter and more finely cut than the 2007, a reflection of the personality of the year. Lemon peel, white orchard fruit, flower and slate are all woven together in an intricate, classy fabric. Over time, the 2008 turns creamy and expressive, yet flavor profile is high-toned, bright and quite a bit more acid-driven than the 2007. Disgorged May 2014. Dosage is 10 grams per liter.
Spring forest and yeasty pastry dough notes are an aromatic entry for this firmly cut Champagne. Crackling acidity creates a mouthwatering frame for flavors of smoked almond, plum, golden raisin and fleur de sel. Offers a creamy finish, with a lingering hint of oyster shell. Disgorged July 2015. The 2008 Brut Cuvée Empreinte is striking. Rich, nuanced and incredibly inviting, the 2008 possesses striking mid-palate sweetness and silkiness, with expressive red stone fruit, spice, licorice and floral notes that are woven together effortlessly. This is an especially open 2008 that can be enjoyed young, as its balance is impeccable. The Empreinte, one of the house's signature wines, is a blend of Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, all from Cumières. Dosage is 6 grams/liter. Disgorged: November 2014.
