Tasting notes
The most backwards, concentrated and structured vintage of this cuvee to date, the 2010 Clos des Truffiers is inky purple/blue in color and has serious notes of crushed rocks, dark chocolate, licorice, smoked earth and layers of dark fruit. Full-bodied, ultra-pure, concentrated and with sweet, yet ample tannin, forget this cuvee for 3-4 years and enjoy over the following decade.

100% Syrah. Minty, meaty, succulent. Beautiful, evocative, really masterful expression of the variety: it’s like Côte-Rôtie colliding with Barossa. Yes, the alcohol is high but the flavour quality overrides any churlishness about that. This is world class, wonderful Syrah. (RH)
