Score 88/100 · Drink 2015-2020, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2014

Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The 2011 Chablis 1er Cru La Fôrets has a light, slightly sandy bouquet with touches of yellow flowers and granite, though it would benefit from more intensity. The palate is clean and fresh with a candied orange peel and apricot on the entry, well-judged acidity but missing a little bite on the finish.

Solid and backward. Lots tucked in here. Not that expressive today. (JR)

A ripe and well-layered nose of white and yellow orchard fruit exhibits subtle notes of ocean breeze and mineral reduction where the latter also appears on the seductively textured and intensely saline medium-bodied flavors that possess good verve and detail on the persistent and balanced finish. Lovely. Tasted: Oct 15, 2013. Drink: 2017+
