Medium-deep red-ruby. Musky aromas of black raspberry, minerals and dark chocolate, with strong smoke and animal elements. Shows distinctly blacker fruit flavors than the Boudots. Today this is more primary and less fleshy, but the fruit carries impressively on the back. Conveys an impression of bright acids and firm tannins.
