Full medium red. Cherry, flowers, minerals, menthol and pungent oak spices on the nose. Juicy and bright if a bit youthfully pinched, with nicely delineated flavors of red cherry, minerals and flowers. Very firmly structured wine with slightly drying tannins. This has closed up following the bottling.

Red-ruby. Ripe black cherry, plum, licorice and enticing oak spices on the nose. Much suppler and broader on the palate than the Echezeaux, with aromatic flavors of currant, plum and spicy oak nicely framed by well-integrated acidity. This builds nicely on the back, finishing with sweeter, finer tannins than the Echezeaux and good aromatic persistence.
