Tasting notes
Good full red. Aromas of bitter cherry, smoked meat and stone. Sweet and sappy, with very good intensity to the flavors of red fruits, spices and dark chocolate. Finishes with very good spicy sweetness and noteworthy verve for a wine from clay soil. Montille vinified this cuvee with some stems for the first time. Very strong for this wine-and an immediate sign that 2007 is a success here.

Lots of clay. Big and bold and sweet. Easy to like and quite precocious. Though still slightly sinewy despite the sweetness. (JR)
