Tasting notes
Deep crimson, quite flashy and heady. Lots of acidity. Seems like a transitional style towards Etienne Grivot's remarkably successful 2000s. Full, dense and quite tough but a faithful representation of the grower, vintage and vineyard. This sturdy wine reverberates on the palate. (JR)

The ruby-colored 1999 Vosne-Romanee Les Beaux Monts has dramatic red fruit aromas. An intense wine, it has a plush, juicy, highly detailed, sweet, black cherry-filled flavor profile. Its character is tangy, lively, and reveals an extremely long, focused, and soft finish. Importer: Seagram Chateau and Estate Wines Company, New York, NY; tel. (212) 572-7725.
