Score 88-91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jul 2006

(from the lieu-dit Franchemont, where Colin has vines on classic argilo-calcaire and others on whiter, more exclusively chalky soil higher on the hillside) Pure, complex nose melds lemon, licorice, hay and herbs. Supple, sweet and rather gently styled, with lovely inner-mouth aromatic character. Not powerful but suave and subtle, with hints of hay, herbs and white flowers. Finishes juicy and aromatic, with very good length.
