Good full red. Cherry, musky spices and menthol on the nose; very Morey. Supple and sweet, but with an intense spice character giving the wine a slightly aggressive quality. With moderate mid-palate flesh, the wine's tannins come across as a bit harsh. Not my favorite style.

Ruby-red. Aromas of blackberry, spices, clove and menthol, supported by firm minerality. Supple on entry, then less silky than the Champs-Perdrix, with bright acidity cutting the wine's density. Saturates the palate with black fruits and minerals. Finishes long, with a serious tannic structure.
