The first bottle of this mid ruby wine served at a Chez Bruce lunch to reward us judges of the Louis Roederer International Wine Writers Awards was a delight. A rich nose sprang out of the glass and there was a jewelly texture with really bright fruit which did admittedly fade a little on the finish but a second bottle was disappointing and dusty. I would have marked the second bottle 15.5. Faiveley spell this climats Porêts incidentally, but as usual we follow the Pitiot spelling. (JR)

Firm crimson. Quite a racy nose. Very fresh and admirable. Not a silly price. Good balance though quite forward. (JR)

Red-ruby. Very ripe aromas of cassis, licorice and flowers enlivened by cooler crushed stone and mineral notes. Sweet, suave and fine-grained; primary, juicy and densely packed. Finishes with substantial but refined tannins and excellent length. Very promising. Hervet noted that Faiveley vinified most of the 2009s with about 25% whole clusters with the objective of "civilizing the tannins."
