Score 92/100 · Drink 2004-2015, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Oct 2016

Starting off the 2000s, the 2000 Chateauneuf du Pape les Hautes Brusquières Cuvee Spéciale is a silky, medium to full-bodied effort that has lots of mature notes of black currants, tobacco leaf, olive and gamy nuances. It’s drinking at point and should be drunk up.

Good red-ruby color. Red berry liqueur on the nose. Smooth and fat but ultimately a wine of moderate depth and concentration. Like the 2001, this shows a bit of dryness on the end.
