Tasting notes
Light, bright orange. Vibrant, mineral-accented red berry and orange zest aromas are complicated by anise, smoky minerals and white pepper. Spicy and focused on entry, then fleshier in the mid-palate, offering juicy red berry and blood orange flavors and a touch of buttered toast. Finishes with good spicy cut and cling, leaving a bitter berry skin note behind. Eight percent of this blend is still red wine from the grand crus Avize and Ay. L3011001133.

(L3011001133 08:58): Vivid orange-pink. Spice-accented blood orange and red berries on the fragrant nose and in the mouth. Juicy and focused, with strong back end punch and a bracing mineral nuance adding precision. Closes with very good spicy cut and lingering red berry and citrus notes. This Champagne is aging very slowly.
The 2004 Brut Rose Cuvee Belle Epoque is a deceptively light-colored wine. It shows off striking inner perfume and richness as the fruit flows across the palate. Sweet red berries, crushed flowers and spices are some of the notes that wrap around the finish. Though medium in body and feminine in style, there is an element of depth that is compelling. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019. Importer: Pernod Ricard USA, Purchase, NY; tel. (914) 848-4743
