Good medium-deep red. Brooding, musky aromas of plum, minerals and smoke. Rich, fleshy and broad; not as obviously sweet as the Echezeaux but saturates the entire mouth with fruit, oak and mineral flavors. Builds in sweetness on the back end, with the oakiness carrying through.

(the last wine to finish its malo; 100% new oak): Good bright, deep red. Still a bit reduced on the nose, offering aromas of raspberry, smoke and minerals. Big and rich but fresh and sappy, with mouthfilling flavors of redcurrant, raspberry and spices. Sweeter and more powerful than the Echezeaux, finishing with firm tannic spine and terrific fruity persistence.
