Tasting Notes
Darker colour again and a little more lively mousse than the previous two vintages. Very expressive, deep nose with plums and crushed flowers, opens up nicely on the palate and seems to be quite mature, expressive, with good balance and nicely soft acidity, again very long on the palate.

The 1998 Brut Blanc de Noirs Clos d'Ambonnay reaffirms my impression from last year. The 1998 is a rich, vinous Clos d-Ambonnay with generous fruit and an inviting, open personality. Crushed flowers, plums, cherries and sweet spices all flow from the glass. Today, the 1998 is rich, deep and highly expressive. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020. Oct 2012, www.robertparker.com
About the producer

Krug is a remarkable Champagne House which only makes prestige cuvées. The wines – with their distinctive rich, complex, oxidative style – are some of the region’s best.
