Palish medium red. Strawberry, raspberry, smoke and spices on the deep nose. Supple, fat and charming but with good backbone. The wine's pliant middle-palate texture and fine tannins make it accessible already, even if the wine has the spine to age.

(the estate's largest cuvee, from a holding of almost two hectares; this finished its sugar fermentation in barriques and is still holding a lot of CO2 despite having been racked once) Moderately saturated medium red. Slightly medicinal aromas of black cherry, menthol and wild herbs; very Morey-Saint-Denis. Fat, lush and full in the mouth; not more complex than the Chambolle Vieilles Vignes today but more voluminous. In fact, this is rather Chambolle-like in its sweetness of fruit and suave, seamless texture. Finishes with thoroughly sweet, smooth tannins and very good length. From a selection massale planted in 1974, an era during which most estates were planting clones.
